The Sturgeon Lake Creen Nation, west of Valleyview, has a vacant council seat filled.
Carol Garbitt defeated four others to win, by garnering 34% of the vote.
The By-Election took place on Monday, to fill the position left vacant due to the death of Tyrone Kappo last month.
