Energy Alberta has shared the feedback it’s received from its Community Engagement Sessions held this past September on the proposed Peace River Nuclear Power Project.
Energy Alberta hosted four engagement sessions in Peace River, Weberville, Grimshaw and Manning in September, hearing from residents, business owners, and community leaders.
Safety, environmental protection and community impacts were among the top concerns raised, along with interest in local jobs, training and procurement opportunities.
Energy Alberta says the feedback will help shape the next phase of the federal impact assessment process, with more community engagement planned in the months ahead.
