
Big Lakes County has installed two new signs to enhance communication with residents.
One sign is located the administration building in High Prairie, and the other in the Hamlet of Kinuso.
This initiative aims to provide timely updates, information, and alerts to the public.
The $214,977 project is fully funded the Local Government Fiscal Framework (LGFF), a provincial grant supporting infrastructure improvements in Alberta communities.
Reeve Tyler Airth emphasized the importance of effective communication, especially following the 2023 wildfires, noting that digital signs offer an efficient to notify the public during emergencies.
